			<title>Sea Base Opportunity This Year!</title>
			<link>http://troop002.com/newsitem.php?NID=839</link>
<content:encoded xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Crew 422 in Kennesaw invites any registered Venturer or anyone who is at least 14 years old who will not be 21 by the time of the trip to come along on their High Adventure trip to Sea Base next summer.

Male and Female leadership is arranged for the trip, so boys or girls may attend. At the moment, there are multiple slots open, so bring a friend! The crew intends to do fund raisers to help defray costs.

There will be a meeting of all interested at the Council Office on Feb 11, after the Venturing Luncheon.

Cost: $800. $300 due immediately, balance on 29 Mar 12. Makes a great Christmas gift!

When:
Depart Kennesaw: Sunday, July 8, 2012
Arrive Sea Base : Monday, July 9, 2012
Depart Sea Base : Sunday, July 15, 2012
Return Kennesaw: Monday, July 16, 2012

Transportation from Kennesaw to Sea Base provides for free. For the in-transit night, we've arranged to stay at a beach condo for free. We'll include two wicking t-shirts for the crew with YOU included (not just Crew 422)!

Sea Base is one of BSA's national high adventure bases. You can find out more at: http://www.bsaseabase.org/Adventures We've chosen to do:

CORAL REEF SAILING

A 40- to 50-foot sailing yacht will become your home for a week. It has a large self-contained galley and dining area where you will prepare wholesome meals from the fresh or canned foods supplied by Sea Base, supplemented by fresh catches from trolling while underway.

Your captain will instruct you in navigation, fishing and sailing, and will remain on board for the entire trip. You choose your own float plan to explore the beautiful Florida Keys. This trip offers one-of-a-kind snorkeling and abundant fishing. You'll spend a &quot;port day&quot; back at Sea Base and have the chance to demonstrate your sailing skills in our fleet of Hunter Sailboats. This is a seven day event.

To reserve your spot or find out more information, please contact: Dr. David Gross, &lt;DC_Gross@Yahoo.Com&gt;, 678-761-3711

Please distribute this to anyone else who might be interested please, and thank you.
