Just a few reminders for the Scouts and parents about advancement, in order to help things proceed smoothly. Please ask Ms. Massey or Mr. Shambaugh if you have any questions about these.

1. A Scout must have requirements signed off in his book by an Assistant Scoutmaster or the Scoutmaster. This is the responsibility of the Scout. Parents cannot sign off on requirements.
2. Whenever requirements are signed off in the book, the Scout must report those completed requirements to Ms. Massey, our Advancement Chair.
3. The completed requirements must all be signed off in the book AND reported to Ms. Massey before the Scout requests a Scoutmaster conference, except, of course, for the Scoutmaster conference, scout spirit, and Board of Review requirements.
4. Scoutmaster conferences must be scheduled and completed prior to the day of the Board of Review. Conferences can't be scheduled for the Board of Review meeting, or for any time that same day.
